Minutes of Meeting
Held on Monday 9 June 2008

1. Apologies
Apologies were received from Sue Herod, Pete Webb, Terry Gardener and Sue Hope.


2. Previous Minutes
The Minutes of the previous meeting were amended as follows: Item 9, last paragraph should read “Boundary line”.


3. Matters Arising

Kitchen re-vamp
- Commerical companies will not quote. MB to ask Martin Weaver.
Checklist – ongoing
Playground bin – ongoing
Drama quote – Quote for £6415.50 received from Williams Builders of Bristol. This includes £1351.25 for insulation of roof. PS asked if Hall would be willing to pay this amount as all users would benefit. AS to investigate possibility of grant from South Glos Council towards this.
Simplefundraising – AS will put something in Parish Mag.
Fridge Thermometer – Has been put in fridge.
Art Group – FS to send another letter requesting payment of outstanding booking fees.
Car Park Entrance – letters sent to children concerned. No feedback received. CE has noticed that stones have been removed from the front wall. MB to ask Tom Cole to look at repairing it.
Hall Boundary Line – AS to follow up with Sue Hope.
Vandalism – Committee most concerned about recent incident where broken glass was spread around the Play Area and on the Playing Field. Police are now involved and CR is trying to get more information from parents and children. CCTV has been suggested, but seen as a last resort. Thanks to Neil and Moira Fozard who discovered the problem and cleaned it up and to Chris E who also cleared up glass from the area. Chris Rispin to prepare short report to attach to these Minutes.


4. Treasurer’s Report
Treasurer’s Report was distributed.



5 Emergency Lighting/Fire Bells/Extinguishers
All Ok.


6. Playground Check
Following vandalism, the Playground has been cleaned. CR may be able to arrange specialist cleaning team from Council to ensure nothing has been missed. Cleaning of tiles still to be done.


7. Correspondence
None


8. Any Other Business
SW advised that a Tag Rugby session has started on Thursday evenings on the Playing Field. Can they have permission to mark up a pitch? This will not interfere with football pitch and will cover a fairly small area. This was agreed.

CE not happy with Buffs leaving upstairs meeting room untidy.



10. Date of next meeting

The date of the next meeting will be Monday 14t July 2008 at 7.45pm.

There being no further business the meeting was closed at 2040 hrs.
