Several comments received regarding the top ten from Sara.
Mention condensing oil boilers
Check heating/boiler controls are set correctly
Change 200mm insulation to 270mm
Turn off all appliances rather than go into standby
Restructure the list into free/cheap to implement and then the more expensive
plus add in if possible amount saved, cost to implement and carbon emissions saved, so really now a table/grid.
JR to work on restructuring the lists into the table for an article in the October mag.

Sara's list

• Switch lights off when you leave a room
• Use low energy light bulbs
• Install thermostatic radiator valves
• Loft insulation should ideally be 200mm thick
• Use draft strips
• Install cavity wall insulation (if property has cavity walls!)
• A condensing boiler offers the best way to save energy
• Turn appliances off and avoid standby
• Wash laundry at 30ºC

Existing list

• Turn your thermostat down. Reducing your room temperature by 1°C could cut your heating bills by up to 10 percent. You could save around £40 per year.
• Is your water too hot? Your cylinder thermostat shouldn't need to be set higher than 60°C/140°F.
• Close your curtains at dusk to stop heat escaping through the windows.
• Always turn off the lights when you leave a room.
• Don't leave appliances on standby and remember not to leave appliances on charge unnecessarily.
• If you're not filling up the washing machine, tumble dryer or dishwasher, use the half-load or economy programme.
• Only boil as much water as you need (but remember to cover the elements if you're using an electric kettle).
• A dripping hot water tap wastes energy and in one week wastes enough hot water to fill half a bath, so fix leaking taps and make sure they're fully turned off!
• Use energy saving light bulbs. Just one can save you £100 over the lifetime of the bulb - and they last up to 12 times longer than ordinary light bulbs.
• Just answer some simple questions about your home and obtain a free, impartial report telling you how you can save up to £300 a year on your house hold energy bills.

Nicki was not present so the following will remain as ongoing.
NR agreed to manage the catering on the 4th but will link up with Jes and myself.

Marketing & Flyer Distribution
RP has contacted Wotton Cinema and our Flyer will be on screen for two weeks, plus a load of Flyers left at the Cinema. (Well done Ralph)

RP has got a local installer from Didmarton to attend. He will be demonstrating his off grid repeater system.

All agreed that banner was an expense that we could not justify at this time.
