Minutes of Meeting held on Monday 11th July 2016

Minutes of the Last Meeting
June’s Minutes were agreed as a true record and signed by the Chair.  

Projects
Kitchen – ongoing. Water heater is working but people are not switching it off after use.  We hope to modify it so that a teapot can fit under the spout.
Upstairs Roomprogressing slowly.
Pre-School – no further developments.
Porch – ongoing.  Chris will contact Richard Bleaken.
Windows – Jane not at the meeting.

Finance Report

Bill Cullen will prepare a full statement for next month, but he emailed to report that the current A/C balance is £11,071.

Parish Council Report
No report again this month.  Fiona to email Hazel and ask for update.

Income
Bookings
- No update from Lorraine.  Louise will ask Jane Bleaken if they are planning to do a Halllowe’en Disco.
Keys
- We need a book to be left in the shop for people to sign the key in and out.  Chris to sort this.
Marketing – Events -
Letter from Sport England inviting us to join their "Active Places Data Platform".  We do not think it is applicable to us.
Chris suggested having a Boules Pitch might be a source of income as it is a popular game in the area.  He will look into it.

Maintenance
Meter Readings
– Chris did these.
Maintenance Working Party – arranged for Saturday 6 th August.  The list of jobs was updated.
Play Equipment Maintenance – no report this month.


Play Area/Skatepark Report
Rebecca reported that the sign is ready for collection.  Ed will pick it up and she will ask him if he can source a post and put it up.

Risk Assessment
Constitution – Chris needs feedback on this.  He will email round again.
Emergency Lighting/Fire Bells – report submitted.
Evacuation Plans – Angelo has done this and it is on the website.  He will put a copy of the notice board.
Risk Assessment Report – Chris dealing with this.

Correspondence
Email from Dave Anderson regarding attempted break in to the shed.  The gate into the field had also been taken off its hinges.  Angelo attending to this.
Chris had to complete a "Transfer of Waste" notification from Suez.  He thinks this should be filed in the office together with other documents -  eg Insurance.
Fiona to get a folder.

AOB
Cleaner Cover
– Martin no longer interested.  If anyone knows someone who might be prepared to cover holidays please let Angelo know.
Hilary advised that chairs have been left out by Karate for the past 3 Thursday evenings. Angelo will have a word with them.
Louise gave Angelo the report which was in the Gazette covering the new kitchen opening in April.  He will put on the website.
Louise said next door’s dogs had got into the Play Area and pulled rubbish out of the bin.  One of them also barked at the children which was a bit frightening.  Chris to speak to Sally.
Someone smashed a bottle in the play area – thanks to Louise and Vicky for cleaning it up.
Martin suggested another Big Breakfast Fundraiser in October – to be discussed next month.

The date of the next meeting will be 8 th August 2016 at 7.45pm
