Energy Group Update
The Energy Group held an Open Day on Saturday, 27 February to update villagers on its proposals. Originally formed as part of the Hawkesbury Parish Vision Plan, it has been examining options to replace the aging oil-fired boiler in the Village Hall with sustainable alternatives. The group is advocating the installation at the Village Hall of a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) and (15kW, 15m) wind turbine to reduce its Carbon Footprint. During the two sessions, there was a good cross section of frank views and several actions were agreed, such as arranging visits to similar types of installation nearby, which will be arranged shortly We really want to hear from you as we need to understand everyone’s views and level of support (both positive and negative) and to address concerns and questions. Please click for more information.
